Slab void filling

Over time, soil beneath concrete slabs can erode or settle, leaving empty spaces that cause concrete to shift, crack, or sink. Slab void filling addresses this problem by stabilizing the concrete from below—without removing or replacing the slab.

Using specialized expanding polyurethane foam, voids beneath the concrete are filled and supported from the inside. This process helps restore stability, reduce movement, and prevent further damage caused by unsupported concrete.

In many cases, slab void filling is a faster, cleaner, and more cost-effective alternative to full slab replacement.

How Slab Void Filling Works

Small access points are drilled through the concrete slab. A hydrophobic polyurethane material is injected beneath the slab, where it expands to fill empty spaces and displace water.

As the foam cures, it hardens to provide long-term support while remaining lightweight and durable. This stabilizes the slab and helps prevent future settling without major disruption.

Why This Method Makes Sense

  • Fills voids beneath concrete without removing the slab

  • Expands to reach areas traditional patching can’t

  • Displaces water and resists moisture

  • Faster and less disruptive than slab replacement

  • Helps stabilize sinking or unsupported concrete

small concrete removal / repAIr

In some cases, sections of concrete driveways or sidewalks become cracked, broken, or damaged beyond simple patching. When that happens, removing and replacing the affected area is the best way to restore safety and functionality.

This service focuses on removing small, targeted sections of concrete and repouring new concrete in those areas—without replacing the entire driveway or sidewalk.

The goal is a clean, durable repair that blends with the surrounding concrete and holds up over time.

Small concrete removal and replacement is ideal for localized damage where a full replacement would be unnecessary and costly.

“Purchased our home during the summer of 2023. During renovations we discovered mold/rot from multiple cracks in our foundation.

After contacting The Concrete Fix they attended to our needs quickly.

We found them to be knowledgeable, skilled in their work, clean and friendly.

In total we had 4 leaking foundation cracks filled and cracks in our concrete slab ground down to avoid the need for floor leveling.

Very satisfied.”
